Pakistan A Retain Emerging Asia Cup Title with 128-Run Win over India A
Pakistan A retained the ACC Emerging Teams Asia Cup title with a convincing 128-run win over India A in the final on Sunday.
Batting first, Pakistan A posted a mammoth 352 for 8 in 50 overs thanks to a brilliant century from Tayyab Tahir. Tahir scored 108 off 71 balls, hitting 12 fours and four sixes.
In reply, India A were bowled out for 224 in 40 overs. Abhishek Sharma top-scored with 61, but no other Indian batsman made a significant contribution.
Pakistan A’s bowlers were led by Sufiyan Muqeem, who took 3 for 66, and Other (Mohammad Wasim Jr., Mehran Mumtaz, Arshad Iqbal), who took 2-2.
The win was Pakistan A’s second consecutive Emerging Asia Cup title.
