Update India Squad for ICC World Cup 2023: Ravichandran Ashwin Replaces Axar Patel

India Cricket Ravichandran Ashwin replacement for injured all-rounder Axar Patel in World Cup squad.

Update India Squad for ICC World Cup 2023: BCCI made a major change in the Indian World Cup squad. Experienced off-spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has been included in place of injured all-rounder Axar Patel. Axar Patel was injured in Asia Cup 2023. Akshar Patel was injured while playing against Bangladesh in the Asia Cup 2023 on 15 September. Ashwin, who played two of the three home ODIs that ended against Australia, took four wickets in the two matches. That is, Ravichandran Ashwin’s performance in this series was excellent.
2023 will be Ashwin’s third ODI World Cup and second on home soil.

Ravichandran Ashwin was a part of India’s victorious journey in the 2011 World Cup and has also been a part of the 2015 World Cup edition in Australia. And there are impressive players too.

“This is going to be a big World Cup. The World Cup is a big tournament. India has been playing very well, so it is a matter of delight. We hope that they continue to play the same good Cricket for the next 45 days,” Ganguly told the reporters.
